Mike Hayhurst - Founder & Creative Director

​​Mike Hayhurst is an award-winning director and producer for film and theatre. Born and raised in the UK, he founded Evening Squire Productions in 2016 and has created multiple award-winning short films including Cook With the Heart, Upside Down Plain Face, 15 Down, and Oma starring Lynn Cohen (both available on Prime Video). Additionally, Mike’s film credits include The Trip to Bountiful with Cicely Tyson; and A Day Late and a Dollar Short with Whoopi Goldberg. Online, he is the director and cinematographer of the webseries All Talk featuring Jason Mewes and Joe Patane; and the reality series Unique New York with Nathan Kaufman, which has generated over half a million views. New York theatre credits include: MacSPIN and Duderonomy for Emmy-Winner Seth Freeman; Some Dead Bodies; King of Bohemia (MITF, Winner: Outstanding Direction); Miró; Love Thy Neighbour. Prior to moving to the US, he was the Youth Theatre Director for Royal & Derngate Theatres where he programmed and ran weekly theatre programs for over 200 young people between the ages of 2-21. He was Assistant Director to Rupert Goold on his productions of Hamlet; Faustus; and Paradise Lost; an Associate Director for R.I.P.P. ‘08 (Norway); and Crackers? (Singapore and UK). He was also Plinther #733 in One & Other by Anthony Gormley (Trafalgar Square, London).

Allison Moy Hayhurst - Founder & Managing Director

Allison Hayhurst is a producer, writer, and puppeteer. Originally from Alabama, she moved to NYC after completing the Professional Training Company apprenticeship at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Allison has held several positions before starting at Evening Squire. She previously taught theatre and improvisation with Curious Jane and Jersey City Children's Theater. She has written several short films and worked on countless others. Allison is also part of Team Lopez, a puppet improv group.  And, don't be frightened if you hear Mike refer to Allison as "Moy." It is her maiden name and honestly two syllables shorter than Allison.
